LAST MINUTE: From the 9th until the 13th of February, the spice island of Zanzibar is host to the 8th edition of what has become the biggest most popular Music event in East Africa, Sauti Za Busara, meaning the “Sounds of Wisdom”.
Every year during February the ancient walls of the Old Fort and Stone Town resonate as people come together in celebration. The festival is supplemented with fringe events in town and across the island including a carnival street parade, so plenty of time to enjoy the varying performances and allow time to sit under that swaying palm as the Indian Ocean softly laps on the white sand beaches.
Why not book a last-minute getaway and combine some beach time with African music with four hundred musicians participating – live – over the five day event?
Please inquire on this page for more information on “Sauti za Busara”, Zanzibar beach extensions and wildlife safaris to bring 2011 into play as you could never imagined… better yet, send this to family and friends and begin to plan your escape from the grips of winter today.
